 Sidi Maarouf This is a Moroccan restaurant Lebanese-style. Part of the Maroush chain, there's slightly stiff but not unfriendly service, and good Lebanese wines; Ksara Sunset rosé is great for light summer drinking, or you could savour full-bodied oaky Ksara reds. Well-reduced tagines and silkily light couscous show a strong Moroccan hand in the kitchen. Alternatively, try the kemia (meze-style snacks): rough-cut spicy lamb sausages are robustly flavoursome; briouats (stuffed with eggy minced lamb or lemony chicken spiked with warming ginger) are enjoyably crisp. Zingy fresh fattoush sprinkled with sharp, citrusy sumac makes a perfect foil for the heavier dishes. In all, an enjoyable restaurant for couples or groups.
